As reported by Jedi News, there will be a limited number of screening for Drew: The Man Behind the Poster, a documentary on artist Drew Struzan. Screenings are currently limited to San Diego, CA (July 19-25), New York, NY (Aug 16-22) and Albuquerque, NM (July 28). You can purchase tickets here.
Book News
John Jackson Miller‘s sci-fi serialization Overdraft: The Orion Offensive will come to an end next Tuesday, and so will the $1.99 entry price for the series. On Tuesday the price will jump up for the completed book. But for those looking to get a physical book rather than an eBook, the print edition is available for pre-order now and will be a whopping 400 plus pages (here’s the pre-order link for UK residents).
Martha Wells‘ book The Death of the Necromancer is now available for free entirely online at Black Gate Magazine. It’s a good book and worth checking out. Martha has a little bit of trivia on the book here, along with links if you’d like to purchase the eBook version or other stories in the series.
R.A. Salvatore fans can pickup a signed copy of The Companions and The Last Threshold via the e-signings page on his website. Bob will be in Columbus, OH on August 14 at the Thurber House for a book signing if you’d like to meet him in person.
Troy Denning‘s Crucible will be out next week and fans in the Roseville, MN area can swing by Barnes & Noble at 7:00 PM on July 9th to get their copies signed. Event details can be found here.

Collectors head to San Diego Comic Con will want to make sure to pick up the Diamond Comics exclusive cover variant for Dark Times: A Spark Remains #1. which will be available at the Diamond Comics Distributor’s booth.
Convention News
Comic Book Mania kicks off next Saturday in Elgin, IL and Star Wars artist Dave Dorman will be there.
Florida Supercon is on right now and runs from July 4-7th. In attendance is Star Wars artists Stéphane Roux, Nick Cardy, Dave Gibbons, Clayton Henry, Bob Layton, Jerome Opeña, Manny Mederos and Scott Zambelli, plus The Clone Wars voice actors George Takei, Gregg Berger, Barbara Goodson and Jennifer Hale.
Gen Con is getting closer so you might want to make your plans ahead of time. This year the con will run from August 15-18 and will include guests like Michael A. Stackpole, Dave Farland (aka Dave Wolverton), Patrick Rothfuss, R.A. Salvatore, Troy Denning, Richard Lee Byers and Erin M. Evans.
Paris Comic Con is running right now and author R.A. Salvatore is in attendance. You’ve got until Sunday to catch him.
San Diego Comic Con has posted the event schedule for Thursday and Friday which includes some Star Wars panels. Jedi News has a nice rundown you can check out for both days (Thursday/Friday).

Ashley Eckstein, voice actress for Ahsoka Tano in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, will be doing a live Facebook chat on Star Wars Books Facebook page next Thursday (July 11) at 3:00 PM EST.
ForceCast has interviews with Star Wars Celebration Europe II artists Brian Rood, Chris Trevas and Jerry Vanderstelt on a special episode hosted by Spencer Brinkerhoff III.
Star Wars author Jason Fry did an interview on the Barnes & Noble Book Blog talking about his latest book, Star Wars: The Clone Wars Episode Guide.

Toy News
There will be a special launch for Hasbro’s new line The Black Series in London on July 19 at Toys R Us on Brent Cross. Jeremy Bulloch will be there and will be signing card backs. The 501st Legion, Rebel Legion and R2 Builders Club will also be on hand.
Misc. News
StarWars.com has posted a list of officially recognized Star Wars hashtags for Twitter.
And for something completely different, how about eleven minutes of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope in Navajo.
And to top it all off, Star Wars: The Old Republic will be adding an Ewok companion called Treek in the 2.3 patch. Players will need to be at Legacy level 40 and will need 1 million credits.
