Here is this week’s Podcasts in Review.

Coffee with Kenobi: Episode 9 covers the viewing order of the Star Wars films. Which is best: one through six, OT then PT, or the four, five, one, two, three, six order? They also talk with Craig Dickinson exploring the uses of Star Wars in the classroom. Lots of discussion and lots to listen to.

Curto Burns Collectors Cast: Episode 12.20.2013 covers vacation trips, Star Wars holiday gifts, the possibility of a revamp for the show (and a new name) plus special guest Teresa Delgado who talks about her own holiday Star Wars collecting.

Fangirls Going Rogue: Episode 2 features special guest Ashely Eckstein and a whole lot of coverage of Her Universe. Tricia and Teresa cover all sorts of items with Ashley and they even discuss fashion tips. Not the best episode for male listeners like myself, but I’m sure it’s one the ladies will enjoy.

Full of Sith: Episode XLV features guest Mark Dago as he, Mike and Bryan talk about a lot of Star Wars and a little rap music. Some really nice Star Wars discussions in this episode. And since Mark is the one behind Full of Sith’s intro music, it also adds some more context to the podcast.

RebelForce Radio: Stocking Stuffer Episode 2013 includes a bunch of bonus audio including Star Wars Christmas songs and fun pieces by the cast of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Star Wars Action News: Episode 412 is a year in review featuring many of the SWAN regulars as they talk about this year in Star Wars collecting. With the number of guests on this show, there’s plenty of opinions to go around.

Star Wars Influences: Episode #3 dives into the artwork of Phillipe Druillet and his possible inspirations on the look of Star Wars. Be sure to follow the link for an image gallery of Druillet’s artwork. Plus Paul and Jimmy talk about the latest “McQuarrie Revisited” piece featured in Star Wars Insider.

Non-Star Wars Podcasts

Assembly of Geeks: Episode 12.17.2013 is their Christmas episode. The hosts look back at the geeky tv shows of 2013, movies coming out next year, their favorite Star Wars holiday memories and more.

Big Pop Fun: Episode #96 is a big departure from normal as host Tom Wilson steps back to let voice actor James Arnold Taylor take a practice run at podcasting. In this special episode, James talks with fellow voice talent Russ Leatherman aka Mr. Moviefone. They talk about Moviefone, innovation, and Seinfeld. If you like James Arnold Taylor, or if you’re a fan of Moviefone, this is worth checking out.

Know What I’m Saying: Episode 8 dives deep into Karl and Steve’s bromance…and surprisingly touches on some Star Wars. I have to admit, I think Karl is taking the whole bromance thing too far and he should probably lay off a little. Otherwise, another fun podcast.
