Aggressive Negotiations: Issue 024 discusses the importance of the inclusion of Saw Gerrera in Rogue One, what led to this, and what it might mean for future storytelling. Interestingly enough, they actually don’t talk too much about Saw the character or the Star Wars: The Clone Wars episodes he was in. It’s mainly focused on the decision of using him rather than him as a character.
Assembly of Geeks: Ghostbusters Reboot, Thrawn Reborn & Indy Revitalized starts with their thoughts on the new Ghostbusters film, they cover some news, then head into SWCE and the announcement of Thrawn, and wrap up with Indy, The Secret Life of Pets, and Stranger Things. Good episode.
Beltway Banthas: Star Wars Celebration Roundup features Swara Salih who represented them for SWCE and brought back some fun audio including conversations with Bryan Young (Full of Sith) and Riley Blanton (The Star Wars Report). The hosts also dive into some discussion about the lack of a title for Episode VIII. Fun episode.
Blabba the Hutt/Following the Nerd: Episode 25 celebrates their one year anniversary and features the audio from their SWCE podcast stage panel. Don’t let Jamie’s fears make you worry, the audio is pretty good for a live podcast. There’s only a few mic issues and overall it’s pretty decent sound quality. Plus they have some good guests including Ash and some Skellig Michael experts. Definitely worth a listen.
Bombad Radio: Episode 242 changes things up a bit by integrating BNN as a segment in the regular show. They cover Rogue One, the crawl, Star Wars Rebels news, and two interviews. One with author Jacob Grey, and the other with voice actress Linnea Sage.
Brews and Blasters: Episode 80 starts with a rundown on Chris’ vacation, then they dive in SWCE, the Rogue One sizzle reel, Star Wars Rebels and need’em got’em. Great episode as always.
Children of the Force: Episode #43 features Nick from London and his SWCE reports. They play his audio then dive into discussion on what it was like. Fun episode.
Coffee With Kenobi: Episode #56 focuses on SWCE as they cover the Rogue One panel, Star Wars Rebels, the new novels, game news, toys, and special guest Riley Blanton who talks about Jedi and attachment, Sith and truth, balance to the Force, why the good guys make the same mistakes, and a little SWCE.
Comic Book Noob: Suicide Squad Part 1 covers half the squad as they talk about Amanda Waller, Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Katana and El Diablo. Excellent discussion as always and a great primer for the upcoming film.
Fangirls Going Rogue: Star Wars Celebration Europe Exclusives episode features Tricia’s interviews with Tiya Sircar, Sam Witwer and Dave Filoni. Plus Tricia, Sarah and Teresa talk SWCE and the Bring Back Legends lash out on Thrawn. Good episode.
Full of Sith: Episode CLXXVI features Bryan talking with Chris Taylor about SWCE and expectations for the first couple episodes of Star Wars Rebels season three which they saw there. Then there’s the full audio for the Star Wars Rebels press panel from SWCE. Afterwards there’s the audio from Bryan’s interviews with Tiya Sircar, Sam Witwer, Dave Filoni and the creators of the LEGO Freemaker Adventures.
Fly Casual: Episode 98 starts with their British/Aussie accents as they warm up for some SWCE discussions covering the Rogue One panel, trailer/not trailer, and toy news with new Black Series 6-inch figures, the fan poll finalists, Hot Toys, packaging and Hot Wheels. Good episode.
Geek Out Loud: Episode 185 was the first day of SWCE coverage featuring guests such as Erich Schoeneweiss from Del Rey, Scott Ryfun from My Star Wars Story and Shazbazzar from Techno Retro Dads. They talk about the Rogue One sizzle reel, a little SDCC and some Ahsoka. Great episode with an excellent lineup of guests. If Steve ever wanted to conquer the Star Wars podcast realm, these would certainly be the guests to do it with.
My Star Wars Story: Episode 21 features Mark Newbold from Jedi News. Mark shares his Star Wars story, seeing Star Wars the first time after being 40 minutes late, the big role the books and comics played, how his fandom got him into Star Wars Insider, the evolution of his internet footprint, and a bit of a glimpse of what the UK experience was like for Star Wars fans. Keep in mind Mark is a fast talker, so while this episode is 2 hours and 39 minutes, you’re probably getting twice that much in content.
Radio 1138/Take Cover: Episode 48/Episode 7 is their live from the SWCE podcast stage panel featuring guests like Ana-Maria Leonte, Adam Bray, Nik Battersby and Arti Shah. Is a fun episode with interviews and discussion as well as the magic that happens with Mark and James whenever they do a live show.
Rebel Force Radio: Episode 7.22.2016 starts out with Celebration stories as Jimmy and his brother Bill reminisce about past Celebrations. Then they go over the Star Wars Rebels season three trailer. Aljon Go joins them as they talk Thrawn, Episode VIII and Rian Johnson. They cap things off with a nice interview with Ashley Eckstein which you’ll definitely want to listen to.
Skywalking Through Neverland: Episode 129 starts with some discussion of the new Cinderella LEGO castle, then they talk with Tricia Barr about SWCE covering what it was like, how it compared to Anaheim, and the people she met. Great episode with lots of Star Wars focus.
Star Wars Action News: Episode 480 is their SWCE episode featuring Steve the Ginger Prince, Suzanne and Darryl with guests such as Kevin Lyle (Norse Legion), Star Wars artist Jake, and more. The episode combines some con reports with the live panel. Good episode.
Star Wars Bookworms: Episode #58 is a shorter episode with a review of the Marvel comic mini-series Princess Leia.
Star Wars Influences: Episode #17 features Jimmy and Paul as they talk about SWCE, Dave Filoni and Star Wars Rebels. Good episode.
Talk Star Wars: Episode 33 covers a lot of ground as the discussions range from Han’s funeral and Episode VIII speculation to when Kylo might have learned about Vader being his father and if the Death Star will fire in Rogue One. Lots of excellent discussion and definitely worth checking out.
The Jedi Beat: Reshoots, Secrets and Spoilers covers the making of The Empire Strikes Back. Jennifer goes through the writers, the choice of director, filming challenges, reshoots, leaks, handling secrecy and more. Top notch episode with great production value and an immensely entertaining and informative narrative. Be sure to give this one a listen, it’s my pick of the week.
TumblingSaber: Episode 34 starts with some Thrawn discussion and the Bring Back Legends group, then they head into SDCC, take a side trip about David Eckstein, cover Jason Aaron’s comments on the Star Wars comics, touch on the Hasbro Black Series 6-inch fan poll winner Jaina Solo, share their thoughts on time jumps and Episode VIII, Mark Hamill tweets, Bistan, Star Wars Rebels and more.
Western Reaches: Episode 10 features guest Jennifer Hazel as they talk about what they’re reading such as The Martian and The Jupiter Pirates, the games they’re playing like the Halo 2nd anniversary edition, and a very interesting discussion about how games can be used to in the field of mental health. Excellent episode.
